Turn Key Running Engine & Transmission Pallet – How We Ship!
Cleveland Power & Performance is PROUD to be the world’s NUMBER ONE supplier of late model high performance domestic part car and truck turn key running engine & transmission drop out pallets! We do all the guesswork for you and provide a complete package that arrives at your location ready to run (just add fluids!)
In this blog we will demonstrating how we prepare your turn key running pallet for shipment, domestically or internationally!
The first step after the pallet is sold is to fire up the driveline for one final check of all the electronic and mechanical components. Then we drain and inspect all fluids as pictured:
Next we pull the fuel pumps, inspect all the wiring, make sure the connections are good on all the plugs. All the included parts and accessories are placed on the pallet, and it’s off to our freight department. From here, we fully surround the crate with 2x4s, box all the loose accessories, and securely bolt and strap any loose components.
From there it is given a final look over, and prepared to be loaded via fork lift onto the freight truck! A reinforced pallet and full bracing insures your turn key setup arrives undamaged!
If your package is going international, then we fully surround the crate with heat treated OSB to conform with international shipping standards, and load it to go to the international carrier!

Home of the 6.1L & 6.4L HEMI Turnkey Pallet
Home of the 6.1L & 6.4L HEMI Turnkey Pallet
Cleveland Power and Performance is the home of the 6.1L & 6.4L HEMI Turnkey Pallet. Our 6.1L & 6.4L HEMI packages are sold setup on a pallet and ready to run once you receive it! Just and fluids, fuel, and fire it up! We offer these turnkey pallets as an alternative to crate packages or basic engine and transmission dropouts, providing ease of use as well as ultimately saving customers thousands of dollars.
When pulled from a donor vehicle, these late model 6.1L and 6.4L HEMI engine packages require communication with a number of VIN matched modules in order to run properly. Depending on the year, make, model and options on the vehicle that the driveline was removed from will determine the models needed to get your package running properly in your custom car or hot rod.
Here are some examples of what we include with our HEMI dropouts.
Of course, all of these parts are all wired up together, on the pallet, when we sell our ready to run dropouts.
A large number of essential communication components in late model LX based cars are VIN matched and can only be properly programmed or diagnosed using the appropriate hardware/software. Unlike most, if not all, high performance other salvage yards, we have the ability to program, scan, and troubleshoot late model Dodge/Chrysler computers. This gives us the opportunity to ensure that every turnkey package that we sell is properly programmed and can be used in a custom application. For far to long, and even to this day in some circles, there was a major misconception regarding the ability to use these packages outside of the vehicles that the came in. There was special emphasis on the inability to use the NAG1 transmission that Chrysler used behind their HEMI’s for years. With outside of the box (almost literally in this sense) thinking, we here at Cleveland Power and Performance have essentially dispelled those rumors. By offering several dozen 6.1L and 6.4L auto and manual turnkey dropouts over the last several years, and by seeing them used in many unique applications, we have shown that these packages can indeed be used in just about whatever you can dream up!
We move fast when we drop a HEMI! We pull everything neatly and carefully, but we move fast!
With all of this being said, we urge buyers to make sure they get exactly what they need when purchasing a HEMI to used in their old Mopar or custom car. All to often we get calls from customers shopping else where, either buying used or crate motors, looking for parts to get their HEMI running or advice on what to do. We are always willing to provide advice, however due to the fact that we sell our engines as turnkey packages we very rarely have the parts available that the need to run their motor. We have always and will continue to go the extra mile to make sure that every single dropout that we sell is exactly what the customer needs.
One of our 6.1L Turnkey setups was featured on the hit TV show Chop Cut Rebuild and was ultimately dropped in a 1970 Barracuda!
Check out this page showing the 6.1L Barracuda, dubbed “The Anchor”, getting a full wrap right on the SEMA floor!
The same vehicle was also featured Hot Rod Network’s website here.
We have sold a number of these turnkey pallets overs the years, and we have seen them find great homes. We have seen them put into some very unique and downright awesome project cars. Some of our turnkey HEMI’s are now in their new homes under the hoods of Dusters, Imperials, V6 LX Cars, Barracudas, Pickup trucks, Coronets, and much more. Much like children, we provide a loving and caring environment for these packages until they are ready for their new home. Sometimes we are sad to see them go, but their stop here is only temporary as they are ultimately destined for greater things… like running a quarter mile on a balmy Saturday morning on an Arizona drag strip, or doing a smokey burnout on a lonely road overlooking a pacific sunset in northern California, or even taking the kids out on the last nice autumn day for a Sunday drive in foothills of the Pocono’s. Lets take a look at at some of the HEMI turnkeys past….
We would be happy to be the supplier of the HEMI package in you Mopar build! If you are looking for a specific package, please let us know as we will do what we can to find one for you.
If you have any questions regarding one our our turnkey setups, or any other packages that we have, please call us at 866-236-5031 to discuss.

2010 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 rebuild
Cleveland Power and Performance is back at it again, rebuilding domestic high performance cars to save you thousands! Stay tuned to our blog feed to see many exciting rebuilds in the future, but for now we will be highlighting our latest project a beautiful 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 rebuild!
This SRT-8 Challenger was involved in a front end collision, which resulted in it being branded with a salvage title. Below you will see the complete rebuild from the time the vehicle got here, to its completion. This Challenger now carries a fully transferable salvage rebuilt title and is for sale ready to head to a good home.
Here are some photos of the challenger as we received it at our facility.
As you can see from the pictures, this vehicle took a front end shot but was hit high which did not deploy the airbags or result in and damage to the engine or driveline. We get many late model SRT vehicles in here and part a good amount of them out, however we thought this vehicle deserved to be fixed properly and put back on the road. The SRT brand has a cult like following and many Mopar fans love the raw power of the 6.1L engine and the iconic looks of this Challenger. As always, we at Power and Performance aim to set ourselves above the rest when repairing wrecked vehicles. We do not cut corners or spare expensive when doing a rebuild.
After racking the vehicle on the lift and looking at the frame rails and the suspension, we determined that the best way to fix this vehicle was to replace the lower frame rails and use a complete front suspension from an unit donor. Here are the pieces we used to fix this Challenger before we put the car on the frame machine.
We then put the Challenger on the frame machine to cut and remove the damaged rails to begin the nitty gritty of the rebuild process, the measuring and welding.
Here is what the Challengers frame looked like underneath the damaged body panels.
We the removed the damaged frame and apron area at the proper locations to allow the installation of the undamaged frame components.
After the left hand frame rail and bumper bar were welded in, the aprons and header panel were put in place.
Once all of the frame and apron components were properly installed it was time to paint them with factory Chrysler paint.
Now that the car was structurally sound and painted to match, she was taken off the frame machine to have the driveline, suspension and cooling components re installed.
With the driveline installed, and the suspension bolted up and in place the car was ready to have the outside sheet metal hung on. We used parts off on un-hit front end to finish this car. They were installed on the Challenger and the sent to paint.
Here are some finished photos of the Challenger.
- 10 Challenger SRT8 Auto 36k – $21,495
This challenger is now fully rebuilt and has been inspected by the Ohio State Highway State Patrol and has been given a rebuilt salvage title. Since completing the build we have put over 500 Challenger and she is ready for a new home. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle for thousands less than comparable models, please call us at 866-236-5031 and for more details click the link HERE

2008 Wrangler JK 6.1L HEMI Swap Part 4
Were back with part 4 of our 2008 Wrangler JK HEMI swap blog. As always the crew here at Power and Performance has been working extra hard to get this Jeep rolling down the road. The experience thus far as been an all around positive and enjoyable one. Everyone involved in this build is truly excited to see the finished product. In our last blog we showed the finalization of the engine mount fabrication and our custom built exhaust manifolds. We have since finished are cooling system and custom built a beautiful 3″ stainless mandrel bent exhaust. We will get to the exhaust and the cooling in a bit, but before we do I want to get even a little further behind the scenes to show the heart of this beast on “the operating table”, so to speak.
As I have mentioned in previous blog posts, our 6.1L donor engine was removed from a Chrysler 300C SRT-8. With a build of this magnitude and importance, we wanted to make sure this 6.1L engine was in the best possible shape it could be in. The engine was sent into our professional engine shop for a complete tear down and refresh. We wanted to to verify that all the internals were in good working order, and pretty up the parts we could with some fresh paint. Here are some photos of the engine disassembled in our shop.
The engine was spec’d out, everything looked great and she was reassembled with fresh gaskets.
Now lets jump back to the present and take a look at this custom exhaust that we made up for the Jeep. As you can see this is full 3″ stainless all the way back to a single mac muffler. This exhaust gives the Jeep a very nice deep rumble to let you know that something other than the 3.6L is lurking under the hood.
The cooling has also been completed with a custom overflow bottle fit right up next to the radiator keep the system nice and tight.
Everything presented in this blog post has both form and function and is a work of art it its own right. Every single person involved in this build has had a blast working on this jeep!
In the next installment of our Wrangler swap blog we will be putting the finishing touches on the Jeep and approaching the initial test drive. Please stayed tuned to see the finish product. As always, feel free to call or email us with any questions or comments. 866-236-5031 and clevelandpap@yahoo.com
2008 Wrangler JK 6.1L HEMI Swap Part 3
Were back on the blog with part 3 of our 2008 Wrangler JK 6.1L HEMI Swap! The crew here at Power and performance has been wrenching, wiring, welding and fabbing on this Jeep for several weeks now and we are really seeing the Jeep come to life. This has been one of the most rewarding builds we have done in regards to excitement and sense of accomplishment. All of the builders and techs working on this Jeep have a smile on their face every time they take a step back from the build to appreciate the fruits of their labor. As I mentioned in the last installment of our HEMI JK blog, we are building this Jeep as “in house” as possible. The means we are not confined to the cookie cutter kits that are out there. We can use parts we have in stock, and make our own when possible.
We left off with the 6.1L motor mounts fabbed up. We have since fixed the motor mounts to the frame and set the engine in. Here are some photos of our custom motor mounts on the JK frame
Before we could drop the engine on the frame, we had to modify the exhaust manifolds as the stock 6.1L manifolds don’t want to fit in-between the rails of the frame. There are several options to use on these builds in regards to manifolds. You could always throw some long tubes on and notch the frame when necessary, you could use 5.7L manifolds that hug the block a little tighter, or you could modify the already impressive stock 6.1l manifolds that are essentially shorty headers. With a little measuring and ingenuity the manifolds were done up allowing us to keep a stock look, without sacrificing exhaust flow.
With the manifolds finished and in place all that was left to do was to drop the HEMI into the JK frame for a test fit.
Everything lined up and fit great As you can see from the pictures above.
Next on the agenda is finish the cooling, fabricate a custom exhaust from scratch and get into the engine and trans wiring. Before to long, the body will be back on the frame and she will be getting closer to test driving . As always, feel free to email or call us with questions clevelandpap@yahoo.com and 866-236-5031.

2008 Wrangler JK 6.1L HEMI Swap Part 2
Cleveland Power and performance is proud to continue our latest build! We will be completing a 2008 Wrangler JK 6.1l HEMI swap. If you haven’t already, please make sure to check out our first blog entry on this build.
Due to the overwhelming requests from our customers, we will be swapping this 6.1L Hemi SRT-8 V8 engine into a theft recovery Wrangler Rubicon. Since the theft recovery had no damage, it has already been inspected by the state and carries a Rebuilt Ohio Title. We are now going to go forward with installing the SRT-8 Hemi Engine. Follow this blog to see the swap from start to finish.
In our last entry on this Jeep, we left off with the Jeeps body off of the frame. We took the necessary measurements that we needed and began an inventory list on the parts needed for the swap. As mentioned previously, we will be doing as much of this build as possible in house. That means using parts that we already have here, and fabricating what we can.
When we began looking into doing this swap, we honestly saw a very limited selection of parts and we set out to make our own kit, instead of buying one of the available kits. We are going to compare numbers and in the end see how much our parts cost as opposed to the kits out there. Making our own kit is also going to give this swap better form and fit over the cookie cutter kits out there that use generic coolers, bottles, and hoses.
After removing the original wrangler driveline, the engine mounts seemed like a good place to start the fabrication. Here are some photos showing the original mounts, and the set that we made in our shop.
We also began test fitting the HEMI in the Jeep to get an idea of the available space we will have for cooling, batteries, manifolds etc. Here is how the drivelines look next to each other, and how the HEMI looks in the Jeep.
Next we will tackle the necessary modifications to the exhaust manifolds, cooling, and more. Stay tuned to our blog to see this Jeep come to life, and as always please feel free to give us a call at 66-236-5031 with any questions.
2008 Wrangler JK 6.1L HEMI Swap
Cleveland Power and performance is proud to announce our latest build! We will be completing a 2008 Wrangler JK 6.1l HEMI swap.
Below you will see pictures of the wrangler, as we received it, next to the 6.1L HEMI donor engine.
We will be doing as much of this build “in house” as possible. We will be fabricating bracketry, mounts, and whatever else we have to so that by the time we finish this swap we are prepared to do another one.
We started the build by taking the body of the Wrangler off of the frame to see what were working with. Here are some pictures showing the body off of the frame.
We can now remove the original driveline, and begin fabricating our mounts. We will be using the original transmission and transfer case out of the wrangler behind the HEMI. Stayed tuned to this blog to see the build progress. As always please feel free to call or email with any comments or questions.

Follow this blog to see this Salvage Dodge Challenger SRT-8 6.1L Rebuild from start to finish!
We received this Salvage titled 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 with light rear end damage and light interior fire damage. We will be replacing the damaged interior parts on this car and offering it for sale. This Challenger would be the perfect candidate for a custom build or to repair your wrecked challenger. This Challenger features the 6.1l engine, automatic transmission, leather interior, navigation, Brembo Brakes, and much more. We have seen our Challenger donor vehicles used in many very unique custom builds, from Classic Plymouth wagons to the iconic Challengers of the seventies. Our donors have also provided all of the interior, driveline, and electronics on heavy fire and flood damaged Challengers.
Here are some photos showing the Challenger as we received it.
- !
As you can see from the pictures, this challenger suffered no front end damage, and most of the interior was untouched by the rear contained fire. The vehicle did get hit in the rear, which pushed the trunk pan in a bit. We started this rebuild by removing all of the interior, which will allow us to thoroughly clean the trunk and floor pans, as well as inspect the interior for other damage.
We will continue the build by thoroughly cleaning the floor and trunk pans to eliminate and odors caused by the burn. We will also replace several other parts on the challenger that need to be replaced, then test drive the Challenger and ultimately offer it for sale. Stay tuned to our blog to see the finished product. If you are interested in this Dodge Challenger, please give us a call at 866-236-5031 to discuss.

Follow this blog to see this 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT-8 Clean Title getting overhauled!
We had the opportunity to purchase this 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT-8 with a clean title from a repo auction. This Magnum arrived to us with a blown motor, but it will be getting overhauled and put up for sale. Follow this blog to see the build from start to finish, and eventually see this clean title Magnum finished and offered for sale. The dodge Magnum has proven to be one of the rarest and most coveted of the SRT brand. These vehicles seem to have developed a cult following since the end of production nearly 10 years ago. We have had the opportunity to offer a few of these Magnums for sale, but this maybe the nicest and cleanest example to date.
Here are some photos showing the magnum as we received it. As you can see, it has was not involved in a collision, fire, flood, or any total loss. It arrived to us with a blown engine.
The exterior, interior, and all electronic functions are in good shape and fully functional. However, it the engine did not run, so we removed it for inspection. We will be carefully looking over and inspecting all of the drive line, suspension, and power functions of this Magnum and we will repair whatever needs fixed.
The engine was removed and sent to our engine room for inspection. We also had the transmission gone through and inspected to insure that it had no issues.
Please stay tuned to this blog to follow the engine overhaul and completion of this Dodge Magnum SRT-8 clean title rebuild. Once this vehicle is done being rebuilt, and we have put a good amount of test miles on it, she will be offered for sale. Please feel free to give us a call at 866-236-5031 with any questions or to discuss pricing on this awesome 425hp wagon!
