1999 Corvette Run and Drive Donor Go Kart
As many of you out there already know, we here at Cleveland Power and Performance love offer our Corvette drive-lines in a number of unique and interesting ways. Check out this blog to see a 1999 Corvette Run and Drive Donor Go Kart come to life. This donor has 65k miles on it ans features an auto transmission.
Over the years we have done a ton of these Corvette Go Karts and customers all over the world have purchased them for their custom builds. We have seen these donor in everything from kit cars to first gen f-body builds.
These Corvette donors start off as wrecked cars that we bring in from salvage auctions. If the car has minimal or no frame damage than it is the perfect candidate for a donor. Here are some pictures of the 99 Vette as it arrived here at our facility.
When we got the car in we racked it on a lift to inspect the frame and suspension and we drained the fluids to inspect for contamination. All of the fluids checked out good and the frame was in decent shape so we decided to proceed with this Vette as a donor.
The donor/go kart process begins when we pull all of the exterior fiberglass off the car. The idea is to leave the essentials to build a “go fast” car.
On this particular car, a few area needed a little work to bring it up to our standards for sale. The seats were in poor condition and were removed to be rebuilt to insure that all functions worked properly.
Also, the front bumper bar had some dings and dent in it so it was removed and we welded an undamaged on onto the frame in its place.
Once the car has interior has been installed, the fluids have all been freshened up and the car has been clean she is ready for final pictures and to be offered for sale. Here are some pictures of the final product.

2005 Dodge Viper Clean Title Run and Drive donor Car
Follow our blog to see this 2005 Dodge Viper Clean Title Run and Drive donor Car come to life. Like we do with all of our builds, we will post start to finish photos of this Dodge Viper go kart.
As you can see from the photos below, we received this viper with damage to several of the body panels. We start our donor builds by removing all of the body panels and accessing the damage to the frame, drive line, and suspension. This Viper came in to us with a clean title that reads as actual mileage. This Viper is a limited production Mamba edition, which included an upgraded interior package.
We put this car on the lift and stripped off of the body panels and removed the interior. At this point we inspect all of the suspension and floor pan areas. We also drain all of the fluids to inspect for contamination.
We noticed that the left hand front rail was pushed over in the accident, so we decided to put this Viper on our frame machine to pull the rail back in to place
We pulled the rail back in to place verified that all of the suspension components lined up and are in place.

2006 Chevy Corvette C6 Automatic Donor
Watch this blog entry to follow a start to finish build on this 2006 Chevy Corvette C6 automatic donor car. When we are finished with this Vette, it will be a fully functional, run and drive go kart which will be the perfect chassis for all sorts of custom builds.
This particular car features an LS2 engine with automatic transmission, black leather interior, complete brake system, fuel system, suspensions and much more. When we build one of our donor cars or “go-karts” we strip away all of the clutter, leaving only the essentials for your build.
Here are some pictures showing what the car looked liked when we received it here in our facility.
We started this build, like we do with nearly all of our Vette donors, by racking it on a lift to see what, if any suspension components need replaced. We spin wheels, check control arms, etc to verify that every part that will be going back on the vehicle is true and straight. If any part needs replaced, we obtain it from our back stock inventory of Corvette parts.
Once we have an inventory on what needs replaced or repaired, we start by removing the body panels. Here are some photos of the Corvette after the first stages of tear-down.
At this point, we inspect the engine and driveline to verify that everything is in good working order. We will also begin to inspect the interior components, power functions.
