Wrecked C8 Corvette

A few of the Power and Performance crew members went down to the auction to check out a wrecked Viper. We stumbled upon this wrecked C8 Corvette while we were there. This 2020 Vette honestly didn’t look too bad. This was a pretty nice surprise, so we figured we would share! This is likely the first wrecked C8 in greater Cleveland and possibly in the state of Ohio! We would sure love to rip down the driveway in a C8 Vette kart!

How Cleveland Power & Performance Professionally Ships Your Chassis

Here at Cleveland Power & Performance we routinely sell our rolling Chassis’ to customers out of state, and sometimes to international customers. Often, delivery of a chassis in our trailer is not an option, so we have to break them down to ship in crates. Today we will be going over the process showing in detail how we break our chassis’ down for shipping.

DSC03401 DSC03417

We start out with the complete chassis with all the accessories and harnesses in a box. After checking that every part of the chassis is there, we drain all the fluids from it.

DSC03424 DSC03429

Once all the fluids are drained from the chassis, we remove the lines and exhaust.

DSC03435 DSC03443

At this point we would then attach the engine to a engine hoist to hold the front steady.
Once the front end is attached we disconnect it from the torque tube. With the front end separated, we then remove the engine from the front suspension.

DSC03448 DSC03454 DSC03463

Once the front suspension and the engine are separated, we put the engine on a cart and strap it down.
We do this to assure we can move it around safely with out worry.

DSC03496 DSC03473

Then we will repeat the process with the rear suspension. The carrier will be unbolted from the transmission, and the wheels removed from the rear end.

DSC03479 DSC03500

Now the last part we do for disassembling the chassis is separating the torque tube and the transmission. Once that is done we inspect all the parts yet again to assure they are all good, and spin the wheels again to assure they are unbent.

DSC03498 DSC03505

At this point all the parts are placed upon carts and strapped down to assure their safety as we transport it to the Freight Department. We also open the box of accessories and harnesses to inspect them, to assure they are ready to be repackaged to ship.

DSC03585 DSC03559

Once the contents of the chassis box is placed onto our picturing area, we go over each part and inspect them yet again to make sure our customers receive everything they need for the chassis. As we inspect each part, we wrap them one at a time and repackage them into two boxes for shipping.

DSC03560 DSC03567

After all parts of the chassis are inspected, we sign off that the parts are good and we put “NO OIL” tags on the different sections. We do this to make sure the customer who receives the part knows with out a doubt that we have drained and inspected the whole chassis before it gets crated to ship. At this point we take all the sections and parts down to our freight department.  The chassis is divided into two crates for safety reasons.

The first crate for the chassis starts with the front suspension being set unto a reinforced pallet. The front suspension is then banded to the pallet and the mid pipe and torque tube are placed into their positions.

DSC03617 DSC03624 DSC03628

At this point we add a mid level shelf to the crate. This allows us to place one of the chassis boxes and the mufflers on this crate.

DSC03655 DSC03659

When all the parts are were they need to be, we secure everything currently on the pallet with shrink wrap. Then we build up a second section of the crate and place the rear suspension on it. The rear suspension is also banded.

DSC03683 DSC03693

With everything for this crate secured, we go over the whole thing one more time before we finish the crate. Once the crate is complete, we finish it off with a few layers of shrink wrap and place the shipping tags on it.

DSC03718 DSC03739

With the first crate done we start on the second one. This one starts out as another reinforced pallet which we place the transmission and engine on. Both of these parts are then secured so they can not move. The engine is also bolted down to the pallet.

DSC03750 DSC03762

With the bottom of the crate complete, we move on to the next section. We build a small shelf for the second chassis box, before we move onto the top section of the crate. The last thing to be placed onto this crate would be the four ( 4 ) wheels placed on the top shelf of the crate.

DSC03764 DSC03771

Now as with the last crate we shrink wrap all the parts, and complete the crate. With the crate complete, we now shrink wrap the whole crate.

DSC03780 DSC03792

Now both crates are completed they are set out of the way by the freight door to await pick up.
We make sure all the proper labels are placed upon them, and that all the shipping information is correct for the chassis.

DSC03797 DSC03799

Now the final step in the whole process is when we finally load the chassis crates onto the freight truck.
At this point the chassis is on its way to its new owner, all safe and sound.

DSC03819 DSC03820

If you need to ship your chassis internationally, we fully crate and enclose them with plywood.

Corvette C6 Donor Vs 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z51 Run & Drive Donor Go Kart / Chassis!

Cleveland Power & Performance is proud to offer the world’s first 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z51 Run & Drive Donor Go Kart / Chassis! Check out more pictures and information, or to buy here:

https://www.clevelandpap.com/2014-z51-6-2l-engine-5k-running-driving-donor/

We’ve sold hundreds of C6 Corvette donor cars over the years, and if you are considering one for your next project, you’ll be surprised and pleased to read all the improvements the 7th generation Corvette has over the 6th, for only a slight increase in price.

Starting with the driveline, the 6.2L LT1 V8 engine is a beast, delivering 460 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque utilizing several advanced technologies, including direct injection, Active Fuel Management and continuously variable valve timing to support an advanced combustion system. The Corvette’s LT1 engine features a structural aluminum six-quart oil pan, and included with our Donor Go Kart, a dry-sump oiling system with a 10.5-quart capacity is included as well.

Other features include an ELECTRIC power steering, which frees up performance and fuel efficiency, oil-spray piston cooling, “four-into-one” short-header exhaust manifold design, and of course, an all aluminum cylinder block.

On the interior, the new leather wrapped seats are styled expertly, very sporty, feel great, and even the passenger received attention as there is a grab handle on the center console. The infotainment navigation system is integrated with all digital speedometer display screen, which can be customized to your liking. Most all surfaces are leather wrapped, and the advanced heads up display shows plenty of data to keep your eyes on the road.

The suspension has been reworked as well. Everything is made of aluminum, including the frame that the upper control arm and shock absorber are bolted into with tie bars. The magnetorheological dampers have an adaptive control system that makes damping adjustments every 10 milliseconds. New to the C7 are adjustable high controls. Twirl all four and you can lower the car. 13.6-inch Ventilated front brake rotors have cooling tricks of their own in the form of surface slots and a spoked hub/rotor interface that looks like a two-piece design, but isn’t. The front calipers are four-piston Brembo units.

If you’re looking for something truly rare, unique, and utilizing the latest technology, then look no further than a Cleveland Power & Performance Running Driving Stingray Corvette Donor Car. It includes everything you need to put into your custom application without getting Nickle and Dimed down the road!

HEMI Swapped Rubicon is to be auctioned off at Mecum

The time has arrived for us to say goodbye to an awesome and unique custom build that we completed this summer here at Cleveland Power and Performance. Our 6.1L HEMI Swapped Rubicon is to be auctioned off at Mecum Harrisburg this Saturday morning. The whole crew at Cleveland Power and Performance is excited to see where the Jeep will end up, but we are a little sad to see her go. As I stated in previous blog entries, this has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding builds we have ever completed. Here are some photos showing the finished product and the fruits of our labors…

We have put a good amount of test miles on the Jeep since completion and have worked out any kinks or bugs that come with a custom swap.

If you would like to see the full build on this Jeep, please feel free to view the previous blog entries on it. You can use the link below to access the blogs.

2010 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 rebuild

Cleveland Power and Performance is back at it again, rebuilding domestic high performance cars to save you thousands! Stay tuned to our blog feed to see many exciting rebuilds in the future, but for now we will be highlighting our latest project a beautiful 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 rebuild!

This SRT-8 Challenger was involved in a front end collision, which resulted in it being branded with a salvage title. Below you will see the complete rebuild from the time the vehicle got here, to its completion. This Challenger now carries a fully transferable salvage rebuilt title and is for sale ready to head to a good home.

Here are some photos of the challenger as we received it at our facility.

As you can see from the pictures, this vehicle took a front end shot but was hit high which did not deploy the airbags or result in and damage to the engine or driveline. We get many late model SRT vehicles in here and part a good amount of them out, however we thought this vehicle deserved to be fixed properly and put back on the road. The SRT brand has a cult like following and many Mopar fans love the raw power of the 6.1L engine and the iconic looks of this Challenger. As always, we at Power and Performance aim to set ourselves above the rest when repairing wrecked vehicles. We do not cut corners or spare expensive when doing a rebuild.

After racking the vehicle on the lift and looking at the frame rails and the suspension, we determined that the best way to fix this vehicle was to replace the lower frame rails and use a complete front suspension from an unit donor. Here are the pieces we used to fix this Challenger before we put the car on the frame machine.

We then put the Challenger on the frame machine to cut and remove the damaged rails to begin the nitty gritty of the rebuild process, the measuring and welding.

Here is what the Challengers frame looked like underneath the damaged body panels.

We the removed the damaged frame and apron area at the proper locations to allow the installation of the undamaged frame components.

After the left hand frame rail and bumper bar were welded in, the aprons and header panel were put in place.

Once all of the frame and apron components were properly installed it was time to paint them with factory Chrysler paint.

Now that the car was structurally sound and painted to match, she was taken off the frame machine to have the driveline, suspension and cooling components re installed.

With the driveline installed, and the suspension bolted up and in place the car was ready to have the outside sheet metal hung on. We used parts off on un-hit front end to finish this car. They were installed on the Challenger and the sent to paint.

Here are some finished photos of the Challenger.

This challenger is now fully rebuilt and has been inspected by the Ohio State Highway State Patrol and has been given a rebuilt salvage title. Since completing the build we have put over 500 Challenger and she is ready for a new home. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle for thousands less than comparable models, please call us at 866-236-5031 and for more details click the link HERE

6.4L Hemi Engine Turn Key Kit

Here at Cleveland Power And Performance we offer a wide variety of engine packages capable of going into any number of custom applications. We have something for everyone whether it be from a Chrysler, GM, or Ford. Each package we offer is a complete dropout with motor and transmission but one in particular goes a step beyond that. That is our 6.4L Hemi Engine Turn Key kit, the only true complete turn key package out there. With this package you will receive the engine w/ belt driven accessories, transmission, harness, pedal, transmission and engine computer.

What makes this setup turn key and sets this package apart are the additional components included. Here is a list of what else is included: fuse box w/ body control module, anti-lock brake unit, fuel pumps, fuel tank, speedometer, floor shifter, steering column, ignition w/ key, body harness, dash harness, and rear hubs for speed sensors. These components will all be VIN matched so they communicate with each other without reprogramming. Not only are all these additional pieces included but we also ship this package on a pallet already hooked up so the only thing you will need to run this engine once you get it is fuel and spark.

It literally can be run in the middle of the field which is exactly what we did here. You will not find a more complete or simpler turn key engine package out there.

2013 C6 Grand Sport fresh water flood full rebuild

Follow this blog to see our 2013 Corvette Grand Sport, that was involved in a light fresh water flood, be fully rebuilt and inspected by the sate of Ohio to eventually be offered for sale.

We received this Grand Sport Corvette after it had been involved in a light fresh water flood. As stated this was a fresh water flood, and the water line was very low and did did not raise higher than a few inches off of the floor pans of the car. We here at Cleveland Power and Performance do not rebuild many flood vehicles, but if they are cars that deserve a second chance on the road we will fix them, and fix them the RIGHT way.

Here are a few photos showing this Grand Sport as we received it.

As you can see from the pictures, the exterior of this car is in excellent shape and it is painted the beautiful “Berlin Blue Metallic”.

As with any flood car that we receive, we rack the car on a lift to drain the fluids to inspect for any water contamination. The engine oil, trans fluid, and differential fluid all showed clean, clear and free of water. The car was then filled with new fresh fluids.

There are some misconceptions when it comes to floods, but if the car is repaired properly a flood car can be rebuilt and driven for countless enjoyable miles. The rebuild process is also much easier when the vehicle is was a fresh water flood as opposed to a salt water flood. A heavy saltwater flood car can be a nightmare. The saltwater can wreak absolute havoc on the electronics of a vehicle. Here is the interior of our fresh water flood next to a picture of a saltwater flooded Vette showing the difference.

Luckily for us and the car, the water level was very low and did not rise above the seat tracks. That means the there was no water contamination in any of the drive line or drive train. Check out this photo showing that the water line was very low, and that the water did not even make it half way up the tunnel.

corvette grand sport

Here are some pictures showing the interior and underhood the Corvette as we received it. As you can see, the interior did not suffer any major water damage, nor did the engine compartment.

Once we got the Corvette inside the shop and drained all of the fluids, it was time to remove the interior. This allows us to really access any damage caused by the water entering the car and to see what parts were reusable. Unlike some shops, we will strip a flood car down to the bare floor pans to make sure she will be as dry as a bone, after a through disinfection and cleaning of course. Here are some shots of the interior removed from the Vette.

We laid the interior out to allow it to dry completely and continued stripping the car. We now had a chance to see what parts needed to be replaced. The only parts that we were not comfortable reinstalling in this car were the seat motors, front carpet sections and factory radio amplifier. All were swapped out from a non flooded donor Corvette. We also purchased new seat belt pre-tensioners as a safety precaution as the originals get wet in the flood. Here is the interior out and drying.

grand sport interior

After stripping the interior, the body harness was removed in order to be soda blasted to insure that it was thoroughly cleaned and that all water was removed. We also used disinfectant cleaner to scrub and clean the floor pans eliminating the chance of any foul smell occurring.

With the interior out, we had the opportunity to replace the seat motors, source a clean carpet and thoroughly clean the body harness. After the floor pan area was nice and dry, it was time for the interior to go back in the vehicle.

The harness, dash components, and carpet were the first parts to be reinstalled in the Vette. Next came the door panels and seats. Everything that went back into this Corvette was extremely clean, and retested for full functionality. This car received just about the most through detailing that a car could get. Here are some shots of the car with the interior fully installed.

This Corvette is now fully reassembled and has had several hundred test miles put on it. She is running like a top and ZERO issues has popped up since she has been buttoned up. She will be offered for sale shortly. Here are some photos showing the finished product of this 2013 C6 Grand Sport fresh water flood full rebuild

FedEx Shipping

We at Cleveland Power and Performance are proud to show you how we package and ship our parts.
We sell and ship parts everyday and wish to make sure the part gets to the buyer the way it is suppose to arrive. Every step is handled by our professional boxers with the utmost care and is packaged in such a way to reduce any chance of damage to the parts. The following steps will show you exactly how we box our parts to assure the safe delivery of them.

First we pull the part out of the warehouse and unwrap the part. Each part is the reinspected again to assure everything is how it is suppose to be.

Then each part gets re-wrapped to protect the part from acquiring any minor marks. The part is then ready to be boxed.

Each part that is boxed is cushioned with expanding foam from our foam machine or with crumpled paper from another machine. This assures that every part is secured in the box. Which will make it less likely to move around inside the box during shipping.

After the part is secured with the foam. The box is closed up and taped securely so the part will arrive to the customer unopened. We then put our label on the box to ship it out.

The last step we do is send the parts out with FedEx to assure the customer gets their parts in one piece. We can ship both domestic and international depending on were the customer is located. Express shipping is available per buyers request as well. As always, feel free to email or call us with questions clevelandpap@yahoo.com and 866-236-5031.

We put lower frame rails, a front bumper bar and header panel on this Charger from a donor vehicle. We also used front fenders and a front bumper from a donor Charger and painted to match the car. The air bags deployed in this Charger. We have since installed airbags and seat belts from the donor vehicle. You can see the link above for the build and progress photos.

2008 Wrangler JK 6.1L HEMI Swap Part 4

Were back with part 4 of our 2008 Wrangler JK HEMI swap blog. As always the crew here at Power and Performance has been working extra hard to get this Jeep rolling down the road. The experience thus far as been an all around positive and enjoyable one. Everyone involved in this build is truly excited to see the finished product. In our last blog we showed the finalization of the engine mount fabrication and our custom built exhaust manifolds. We have since finished are cooling system and custom built a beautiful 3″ stainless mandrel bent exhaust. We will get to the exhaust and the cooling in a bit, but before we do I want to get even a little further behind the scenes to show the heart of this beast on “the operating table”, so to speak.

As I have mentioned in previous blog posts, our 6.1L donor engine was removed from a Chrysler 300C SRT-8. With a build of this magnitude and importance, we wanted to make sure this 6.1L engine was in the best possible shape it could be in. The engine was sent into our professional engine shop for a complete tear down and refresh. We wanted to to verify that all the internals were in good working order, and pretty up the parts we could with some fresh paint. Here are some photos of the engine disassembled in our shop.

The engine was spec’d out, everything looked great and she was reassembled with fresh gaskets.

Now lets jump back to the present and take a look at this custom exhaust that we made up for the Jeep. As you can see this is full 3″ stainless all the way back to a single mac muffler. This exhaust gives the Jeep a very nice deep rumble to let you know that something other than the 3.6L is lurking under the hood.

The cooling has also been completed with a custom overflow bottle fit right up next to the radiator keep the system nice and tight.

Everything presented in this blog post has both form and function and is a work of art it its own right. Every single person involved in this build has had a blast working on this jeep!

In the next installment of our Wrangler swap blog we will be putting the finishing touches on the Jeep and approaching the initial test drive. Please stayed tuned to see the finish product. As always, feel free to call or email us with any questions or comments. 866-236-5031 and clevelandpap@yahoo.com

2008 Wrangler JK 6.1L HEMI Swap Part 2

Cleveland Power and performance is proud to continue our latest build! We will be completing a 2008 Wrangler JK 6.1l HEMI swap. If you haven’t already, please make sure to check out our first blog entry on this build.

Due to the overwhelming requests from our customers, we will be swapping this 6.1L Hemi SRT-8 V8 engine into a theft recovery Wrangler Rubicon. Since the theft recovery had no damage, it has already been inspected by the state and carries a Rebuilt Ohio Title. We are now going to go forward with installing the SRT-8 Hemi Engine. Follow this blog to see the swap from start to finish.

In our last entry on this Jeep, we left off with the Jeeps body off of the frame. We took the necessary measurements that we needed and began an inventory list on the parts needed for the swap. As mentioned previously, we will be doing as much of this build as possible in house. That means using parts that we already have here, and fabricating what we can.

When we began looking into doing this swap, we honestly saw a very limited selection of parts and we set out to make our own kit, instead of buying one of the available kits. We are going to compare numbers and in the end see how much our parts cost as opposed to the kits out there. Making our own kit is also going to give this swap better form and fit over the cookie cutter kits out there that use generic coolers, bottles, and hoses.

After removing the original wrangler driveline, the engine mounts seemed like a good place to start the fabrication. Here are some photos showing the original mounts, and the set that we made in our shop.

We also began test fitting the HEMI in the Jeep to get an idea of the available space we will have for cooling, batteries, manifolds etc. Here is how the drivelines look next to each other, and how the HEMI looks in the Jeep.

Next we will tackle the necessary modifications to the exhaust manifolds, cooling, and more. Stay tuned to our blog to see this Jeep come to life, and as always please feel free to give us a call at 66-236-5031 with any questions.

2008 Wrangler JK 6.1L HEMI Swap

Cleveland Power and performance is proud to announce our latest build! We will be completing a 2008 Wrangler JK 6.1l HEMI swap.

Below you will see pictures of the wrangler, as we received it, next to the 6.1L HEMI donor engine.

We will be doing as much of this build “in house” as possible. We will be fabricating bracketry, mounts, and whatever else we have to so that by the time we finish this swap we are prepared to do another one.

We started the build by taking the body of the Wrangler off of the frame to see what were working with. Here are some pictures showing the body off of the frame.

We can now remove the original driveline, and begin fabricating our mounts. We will be using the original transmission and transfer case out of the wrangler behind the HEMI. Stayed tuned to this blog to see the build progress. As always please feel free to call or email with any comments or questions.

Cleveland Power & Performance is proud to offer E-Bay’s FIRST AND ONLY COMPLETE Pontiac GTO LS1 lit rear bumper wall art decor!

Cleveland Power & Performance is proud to offer E-Bay’s FIRST AND ONLY COMPLETE Pontiac GTO LS1 lit rear bumper wall art decor! We have gotten HUNDREDS of requests for advanced features on these bumpers, and after selling out completely we now have a new supplier that has added many requested features!

Want to make your garage (or any other flat surface) REALLY stand out? With Cleveland Power & Performance’s Pontiac GTO rear bumper wall art, you will receive:

  • 2004 Pontiac GTO OEM Black Rear Bumper Assembly – Trimmed and Cut to sit flush against your wall!
    • 2x OEM Pontiac GTO Brake Lights w/ Quarter Panel Cuts
    • OEM Pontiac GTO Spoiler & Third Brake Light w/ Trunk Lid Cut
    • OEM Pontiac GTO Exhaust Tips
    • License Plate Light Housings
    • Custom Plug in Wiring Harness with AC/DC Converter
    • Custom Wireless Power Control and Dimmable Key Fob
    • High brightness, Low Draw LED Lights In All Locations
    • Custom Made Aluminum Bracket to Mount On Wall
    • Black Molding Trim to Protect Wall From Sharp Edges

We’ve sold a bunch of these for Corvettes, but we are the first and ONLY seller to offer these for your Pontiac GTO! We include EVERYTHING you need to install a complete, safe, excellent looking bumper wall art decor, with all your bases covered!
This would be great wall art hanging high in a garage! We start by trimming the back sides of the bumper to sit flush against the wall surface. This allows the bumper to sit properly on the wall, and not bow out, and look flush like you see in the pictures. We take the guess work out of how to get a rounded rear bumper to sit flush against your wall!

Next, we remove all the factory bulbs and wiring, and install a custom harness. The harness contains an AC/DC converter that plugs into any standard wall socket. This harness also contains a wireless converter and module with a key fob that allows you to turn the bumper on and off remotely. It also allows you to brighten or dim the lights to your exact tastes. Please note that the reverse lights are not lit.

We replace all the bulbs with low draw, high powered LEDs. This serves two purposes. First, these custom LEDs will draw 10mA (0.010A) to 25mA (0.025A) when powered on. The standard halogen bulbs installed in this bumper draw typically over ONE HUNDRED TIMES more electricity to produce a less intense light. To put this into perspective, LEDs drawing 25mA (0.025A) could run 24/7 for a month before having a noticeable affect upon a single 12V automotive battery. This translates to little to no electricity to run when powered on, as opposed to high cost halogen bulbs. The second purpose they serve is little to no heat generated when left on for hours.

Using standard OEM halogen bulbs in a bumper like this on your wall would cause the housings to melt after only a few hours, risking a garage fire. We have left the LEDs powered on for weeks here at the shop, with nearly zero heat generated.
Finally, we include a custom made aluminum bracket that mounts to the OEM holes on the top of the bumper with machine screws, and installs to any wall with 2 to 4 screws, drilled through where you need them.

This is the ONLY complete kit available in existence, and would make a great addition to any garage or other area.

83 Trans Am custom build with Fourth Gen LS1 swap Part II

Cleveland Power and Performance is proud to present this 83 Trans Am custom build with Fourth Gen LS1 swap, which will show you how easily you can update your Gen 3 F-Body with a ton of bolt on Gen 4 Parts! We will be incorporating an LS1 Driveline swap, updated to larger disc brakes, a fourth gen Trans AM Interior, and incorporating every piece of a late model Trans AM into this classic beauty! Long live the 80s!

In the last installment of our 83 Trans Am LS1 swap blog we started off by showing how we received the Trans Am. We received a stock, 5.0L 83 Trans Am with the goal of swapping as many components out of a Fourth Gen as possible. We are going to build this 83 into a modern upholstered, fuel injected, tribute to the awesome era that was the 80’s!

In our last blog we left off with basically a bare shell with no interior and no driveline. We have since started to replace the old with the new. Take a look at the pictures below showing the modifications that we have done to the front cradle to allow for the fitment of the LS1 engine

We also opted to put bigger brakes on the TA to give it some more stopping power. We ordered a kit from bigbrakeupgrade.com that allows us to use fourth gen calipers and rotors on the front by modifying the stock 83 spindles.

The brake kit made installation a breeze and is a huge upgrade in both form and function.

We also began plans on modifying the firewall to allow for the installation of the fourth gen heater box, ac components, brake system and more.

Next we will begin mocking up the engine and blueprinting the underhood compartment to figure out where we are going to run our harness, ac lines, etc.

Stay tuned to our blog to see this car come to life.

Salvage Dodge Challenger SRT-8 6.1L Rebuild

Follow this blog to see this Salvage Dodge Challenger SRT-8 6.1L Rebuild from start to finish!

We received this Salvage titled 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 with light rear end damage and light interior fire damage. We will be replacing the damaged interior parts on this car and offering it for sale. This Challenger would be the perfect candidate for a custom build or to repair your wrecked challenger. This Challenger features the 6.1l engine, automatic transmission, leather interior, navigation, Brembo Brakes, and much more. We have seen our Challenger donor vehicles used in many very unique custom builds, from Classic Plymouth wagons to the iconic Challengers of the seventies. Our donors have also provided all of the interior, driveline, and electronics on heavy fire and flood damaged Challengers.

Here are some photos showing the Challenger as we received it.

As you can see from the pictures, this challenger suffered no front end damage, and most of the interior was untouched by the rear contained fire. The vehicle did get hit in the rear, which pushed the trunk pan in a bit. We started this rebuild by removing all of the interior, which will allow us to thoroughly clean the trunk and floor pans, as well as inspect the interior for other damage.

We will continue the build by thoroughly cleaning the floor and trunk pans to eliminate and odors caused by the burn. We will also replace several other parts on the challenger that need to be replaced, then test drive the Challenger and ultimately offer it for sale. Stay tuned to our blog to see the finished product. If you are interested in this Dodge Challenger, please give us a call at 866-236-5031 to discuss.

83 Trans Am custom build with Fourth Gen LS1 swap

Cleveland Power and Performance is proud to present this 83 Trans Am custom build with Fourth Gen LS1 swap, which will show you how easily you can update your Gen 3 F-Body with a ton of bolt on Gen 4 Parts! We will be incorporating an LS1 Driveline swap, updated to larger disc brakes, a fourth gen Trans AM Interior, and incorporating every piece of a late model Trans AM into this classic beauty! Long live the 80s!

We want to show all of our customers that this third gen TA could be easily swapped over to a fuel injected LS setup with upgraded interior using almost all parts that we have here in stock.

We will be using the driveline, interior, rear axle, front brakes and more from a donor fourth gen Trans Am. Nearly all of the parts that we will be using in this build are here at Power and Performance, in stock and in our warehouse. This is truly an all “in house” build.

We started by striping the interior of the 83, and taking out the original 305 engine to allow for mock up. We are going to use as much of the fourth gen interior as possible. A good amount of the new interior fits nicely and does not require an extensive amount of modification. Other parts will require a some modification, but in the end will give the 83 a much need update.

This is just the beginning of an exciting build and we will be posting pictures of the process as we go. Please stay tuned to our blog to see this car come to life step by step! Next up we will mock up the interior and drive line to see how everything fits and looks. We will also start on the rear axle and upgraded front brakes. Please feel free to let us know what you think of the build!

Cleveland Pick A Part Becomes Cleveland Power and Performance

Cleveland Pick A Part to Cleveland Power & Performance: The New Era Begins

Welcome to Cleveland Power & Performance! We would like to formally introduce you to our new website and our new company name. For almost 30 years, Cleveland Pick A Part has been a growing force in auto parts and high-performance vehicle rebuilds. Now, as we move into 2015 and beyond, we are introducing a new name, new focus and a new level of advanced capabilities.

Cleveland Power & Performance Badge

We have been upgrading the foundation of our business structure to better serve our customers and more nimbly adapt to the fast-changing world of high-end, performance vehicles. We felt the best way to move forward was to concentrate specifically on two distinct areas: 1. high-performance vehicle parts, and 2. performance vehicle rebuilds, including rebuildables, restomod projects and custom builds. We have invested substantial resources into becoming North America’s premier provider in these areas, and we invite you to check out some of our current offerings on our Parts for Sale and Cars for Sale pages, or read more about our specialized offerings.

Longtime customers who have visited our shop over the years have seen how our company has grown. Since our humble beginnings in 1986, when we worked out of a trailer with an outhouse next to it, we have grown into a complete office building and sales area, more than 140,000 square feet of warehouse space, a service and dismantling area with 12 in-ground lifts, a dedicated onsite shipping area, and more than 29 acres of prime Ohio real estate for outdoor vehicle storage. We have posted some pictures on the new website that show the transition.Cleveland Salvage Auto Parts Sales Office

The original Cleveland Pick A Part started as a scrap yard in 1986. Over the years, we relied heavily on our insurance work, dealing directly with body shops and other local salvage yards. As the business grew and our capabilities grew more robust, we evolved into a specialist in late-model, high-performance vehicles. In fact, about a year ago, we made a decision to discontinue our parts supply of daily driving cars and concentrate more acutely on those high-performance cars and trucks, with a particular focus on high-performance drivelines. As we’ve made these changes, the Cleveland Pick A Part name that served us so well for so many years has become less representative of our current scope of work. And so Cleveland Power & Performance was born!

Going forward, Cleveland Power & Performance will continue to invest in our late-model parts supply, but we will also be shifting the attention from the “old school boneyard” to the sophisticated resto-mod capabilities of our own, on-premises, custom-build shop. We already supply drivelines and other parts to custom-build shops around the country and the world. Now we will be offering more of those custom-build services right here, with premium parts that are sourced, refurbished, tested and installed by our own highly trained professionals.

Perhaps most important through all of these exciting changes are the things that will remain constant at our business. Our family-owned-and-operated business has been under the same ownership and management since 1986, and that will continue. We are also maintaining all of the current employees, the same approach to excellent customer service, and the same emphasis on quality that has helped us grow into one of the largest late-model, high-performance vehicle parts providers in North America.

After the new year we will be going over changes on the website, and highlighting some of the new features that we’ve put in place to make our customers’ lives easier. We appreciate your feedback on the new site as well. Please, feel free to send us a message or call us (866-236-5031) to tell us what you think.

From the owners of Cleveland Power & Performance, welcome to the new era!
